BrandyYes, this may be the solution for figuring out which books stayed home with students from the year before... Then you could make a decision to purchase the book again, or delete the entry from your inventory...

Becky RasmussenI think this is a brilliant idea! With over 2000 books, I have a hard time figuring out if something is missing!

Jimmy YatesLove it!! I have over 2000 books and have to print the report and check them one book at a time. It would be great to be able to scan the barcodes instead.

Karen MolloySame here! over 3000 books and a scanner-- i want to be able to inventory! Also maybe an option where if you are in inventory mode and scan a book that it automatically brings up the edit screen? Or the location/copies/status?

Miriam Carey BrownI would also like a list of the books in my inventory for insurance reasons.

MarciaTwo years ago, I deleted all books and re-entered them - a HUGE task! I was out on sick leave when my classroom was moved and had no confidence in the status of my library. An inventory system would be awesome! I could easily identify titles that have gone AWOL and catch items that were not entered - a child sees a book - they want it - you give - but have not yet entered in the system. And so on. Thank you for considering!

JamiePLEASE! I have so many books and have been needing to do an inventory. It would be so great if I could just can bar codes and then get a print out of what didn't get scanned so I know what's missing!

MarciaA couple of years ago, I moved classrooms AND had to be out on medical leave. When I returned, I had no confidence in the correlation between the books on the shelves and the data in BookSource, printed out the inventory, location by location, and cross-checked each book by hand, one by one. Now with COVID, data quality has taken a hit. It's my fault - I am just giving kids books on the days they are in school - priority is to keep them reading. When this is over, I will need to do another inventory. PLEASE consider this enhancement! Thank you!

KatieI desperately agree with Jamie. It would be so helpful at the end of the school year to just scan all the barcodes to find what is missing to try and hunt down missing copies before students move on. It would save me hours of work at a particularly busy time of the year!

Jennifer LedyardThis would defiantly help me in knowing which books are missing from my classroom.
